Fun Red Flower Quilt!

I love the colors on this one and how fun it is! I had it mostly quilted and I decided I didn't like the way it was coming together so I did a lot of thread pulling. It is a ton better now!!!

U of U Quilt

I know it pretty unusual for a baby blanket to be team oriented. In fact I think the daddy will probably use it more than the baby, but it completely fits this family! Go Utes!

The front is a patchwork red U on a black background. The back is a University of Utah print. It is quilted in a diagonal line pattern and bound in a coordinating solid grey.

Congrats Dan and Dana!

Goals

It is the beginning of the year so it is time for some new goals. I sat down and planning out some business goals and some weekly goals so that I can get ready for the next boutique.

Last week's goal was to make 3 new quilts. Here is what I came up with.

Teal Plaid

Lime and Black Stripe

 Purples

Which one is your favorite?
These will be available in my shop this week. Keep an eye out for them!

A blanket for Baby Lucero

This a cute little baby quilt for the soon to be baby girl Lucero!

They love greens, blues, and browns for their baby girl. Of course there has to be a little bit of pink! I love the way this fabric brings all of that together.

The Big Gift

This quilt was my father-in-law's present for Christmas this year. I won't go through my thought process that got me to the conclusion that I needed to make a queen size quilt in a three week period, but needless to say, when I tried to explain it my brother-in-law he was laughing.

I had my husband pick out the fabrics. I think the longest part was developing the pattern.

It is a queen size. Machine quilted in navy blue with a solid navy blue fabric on the back.

I really think they like it!

Lamp Shade Re-Re-Do

I am learning from my mistakes and it turns out that old lamp shades are really fragile. This is what happens when they get smashed!

So we had to do a little makeover. First I found a fun burlap shade at Shopko but it wouldn't match the lamp. So I had to do a little make over.

Yea for spray paint. It was super simple and it only took a few hours for a couple of  coats.

The whole project cost me $20!

Custom Quilting

I am available for custom quilting. This lady who made this quilt put the top together and I did the quilting and binding for her. It turned out so cute!
